This is a good idea from my older brother Mike.
Our oldest cat, Sadie, has been trying to imitate the younger cats by jumping on the front gate and leaping over to the other side. As I watered out front the other day I saw her fall onto the deck and I thought for sure she’d killed herself. Something had to be done.

She’d try and go over at the lowest point in the gate and would still crash and burn.

So, I built her and the other cats a way up and over the fence as well as a place on top of the fence to lounge.

This is the front side. I made it so they can climb safely from either side of the gate.
Took a few times of showing them how to use it and we finally started getting their attention by breaking out the soft cat food. Of course, Jitterbug, living up to his name was terrified of it and you won’t see him in any of these photos.

They relaxed on it after their meal.

It looks like they would have been happier if we’d stopped taking photos.

With any luck we can keep her healthy for a long time to come.
Have a great remainder of your work week.
